Job opening:
React Native Developer

We’re a small SaaS startup based in the heart of the Copenhagen startup scene. We help more than 500.000 users world-wide keep a Mileage Logbook. We try to automate and simplify all the trivial work around tracking, classifying and creating the mileage documentation - ready to hand-over to their employer.

The Driversnote platform is based on a Mobile App build in React Native and a Web App & backend build in Ruby on Rails.

We’re very product-focused with a profound focus on continuously listening to and learning from our users. We are always trying to improve the product to create an even better and more seamless experience for our users - and we expect you to share this focus.

We’re looking to expand our team with 3-6 people over the next year, so you’ll be an essential part of a small team at a very exciting stage.

Who are you?

You take pride in building software that is easy to use and write code that is easy to understand. You like complex challenges and take your time getting to the bottom of all aspects so you can find simple solutions that ensure the future of the codebase.

You’ll be working with implementing new features in our core product, the Driversnote app. It’s built in React Native and uses Open Source native libraries for the key features like tracking and iBeacon monitoring.

You should have:

  • At least a years experience with React Native development, working with apps for both Android and iOS.
  • A good knowledge of component lifecycles and performance in React Native.
  • Ability to take ownership in the process of building a feature from concept to release, working closely with the rest of the team to ensure a high-quality implementation

We would love if you have:

  • Experience working with Redux or React for web
  • Experience working with native app development on Android and/or iOS
  • Worked with location-based apps and tracking
  • Experience with iBeacons or other Bluetooth devices
  • Tried doing end-to-end testing in React Native
  • Insight into and maybe experience with in-app payments on both platforms

What do we offer?

We have a relaxed work environment, flat hierarchy, flexible work hours and strongly believe that it should be fun to go to work. We’re located in the heart of Copenhagen, in Matrikel1, the most ambitious co-working space for tech startups in Denmark, where you can network with other startups and plenty of cool like-minded people.
